I slowly walked into the cave. The only light was coming from the glowing runes of my staff. The cave, I knew, was the Cave of Shadows. I felt the dark presence of the second half of the Starstone coming from deep within. I also sensed another presence, something even darker than the stone.
"I can't believe I've made it this far." I said.
As I walked through the cave, a bat flew past me. I could feel its fear as it flew away.
"That can't be good."
The cave soon became more of a labyrinth. I would have gotten lost if I hadn't had my staff and the gem replica of the light Starstone. The staff had activated an ancient life-form within the gem that had led me to the tainted lands. Ever since he had been awakened, I had been able to sense how any being was feeling. I sensed fear, I knew pain, and I even felt the joy of others. The spirit had already helped me on multiple accounts, but now, he was saying nothing.
I continued through the cave until I found some light. It was coming from a room filled with lava. Multiple creatures patrolled the room; they were made of lava as well and carried large blades of granite.
"This is going to be hard." I said.
Even with my experience from the trials to find the tainted lands, I knew that I wouldn't fare well against one of the lava beasts.
They continued patrolling around a small, black egg. It had strange lightning bolt markings on the sides. Eventually the creatures were replaced by four others. The new guards were carrying the same form of blades, only theirs were smaller.
"I can't stay here waiting for them to leave. I need to go down there or I'll die waiting." I whispered to myself.
I moved from my spot and ran down towards the creatures. They seemed not to notice me. I went over to one and attempted to hit it with my staff. It only went straight through and the creature continued walking. I put my hand into its chest and pulled it back out. I felt nothing as I did so; I also sensed nothing as I followed it.
"This just keeps getting weirder." I said.
I ran over to the egg. I picked it up off the ground and inspected it. The egg was the same as I had seen it from afar. The only difference was I could sense an unborn dragon within. It was filled with an unusual sense of rage that nearly drove me insane. I didn't know why it felt so, only that it would be awful if the dragon was raised as it was at the time.
"You should not have come here, monk." Came a deep, rumbling voice.
"I have reason to come here." I said. "I am in search of the dark half of the Starstone."
"Then you are too late." The voice said. "A female came long ago and claimed the shadow half."
"Then I must track her down and take the stone from her." I said.
"And how will you do that if you are dead?" The voice asked.
"But, I'm not dead." I said.
"You will be soon." The voice said.
A massive black dragon rose up from the lava.
"I am coming for you monk, and when you arrive, I shall have your soul."
Yes, I know, I said part two would not be out for awhile, but I had the inspiration for the next part.

And remember, the truth of this part shall be revealed later on.
Enjoy.
