"Sizaron!" Altrins yelled, waking me from my dream. "We're being attacked!"
I saw a deep orange glow outside my tent. I felt the flames burning all around me.
"How did they find us?" I asked, getting out of the tent.
"We need to put out the fires." Altrins said, coming up to me. "And I don't know how. It's only you and me here so we must have been followed."
"We need someone with control over water." I said. "You could use your wind though."
"Already tried." Altrins said.
"Why can't we have Laterniz?" I asked.
"How do you know about her?" Altrins asked.
"The dream I was having before the fire." I replied.
"I had the same dream, but we can talk about it after we get the fire finished!" Altrins yelled, starting to make the winds stronger.
He sent the wind around our small encampment, attempting to put out the fires. He had no luck.
"Go sister!" I heard someone yell. "We must help them!"
I looked up and saw two dragonesses. I recognized them from my dream, it was Witerin and Laterniz. The only difference was they were younger.
"Go, go, go!" Witerin yelled. "Those fires won't put themselves out!"
She released a large ball of ice. It crashed down onto the flames, throwing chunks of itself across the camp and putting out a lot of the fires.
"I've got the rest, my dear sister!" Laterniz yelled.
She blew out a large ball of water. It crashed down on the encampment, putting out the fires and soaking me and Altrins. The two dragons landed nearby.
"Sorry about that, she's new to the elements." Witerin said.
"How did you know how to find us?" I asked.
"We were resting nearby and saw the glow of the fires. We thought it was just a campfire but knew that it would be better to just check it out. So you're lucky we got here when we did." Laterniz said.
"Anyways, what are two young dragons such as yourselves doing out here?" Altrins asked.
"My little sister and I are hunting down the knights." Witerin said.
"Let me guess, they killed your parents?" I asked.
"Yes, how did you know?" Laterniz said.
"I just had a feeling. My friend Altrins and I are on the same mission." I said.
"Well do you mind if we join you two?" Laterniz asked. "If you want to stop the knights and we want the same thing, then it will be easier if we join forces."
"I don't know." I said. "What do you think, Altrins?"
"I agree with them, if we get more dragons on our side, then we could form a considerable resistance against the knights." Altrins replied. "So yes, we should allow them to join us."
"Okay then, you can come with us." I said. "Welcome to our small group."
"Thank you." Laterniz said. "And I believe that introductions are in order. I am…"
"Laterniz and your older sister is Witerin." I interrupted.
"Yes," Witerin said. "How did you know?"
"I have my own ways of knowing things," I said. "Let's just keep it at that."
"Okay then. Should we get moving then?" Laterniz asked.
"We might as well, now that the camp is finished." I said. "Let's go."
I started flying up.
"Come on. We don't have all day, or rather night." I said.
"Sizaron, the fire started just half an hour after you fell asleep. Let's just get to sleep." Altrins said.
"Your name is Sizaron?" Witerin asked.
"Yes, why?" I asked.
"Because I know that name from somewhere." Witerin said. "I just can't remember where I heard it."
"Well tell me when you do, okay?" I said.
"Sure." Witerin replied.
I knew then that these two dragonesses were the very ones I saw in my dream. Witerin and Laterniz went over and began setting up a tent. After they finished it and went in, I went over to Altrins.
"Altrins," I said. "I think that these two are the same ones from the dream. And if they are, then we need to find the others too."
"Same here." Altrins said. "And I agree; we need to find and meet with Gonil and Calonis. Do you remember where it was that we met up with them?"
"Well we met Calonis just after his parents were killed at a cliff. We had chased the knights off afterwards." I said. "But I can't remember where we first met Gonil."
"Neither can I. We'll just have to find her on the way." Altrins said.
"We can worry about anything else tomorrow." I said. "But right now, we need sleep."
I slept very fitfully. I couldn't stop dreaming about Gonil again. I knew that we had to meet her and Calonis; but I felt a need to avoid them to save all of our lives.
"Hey," I heard someone say. "Sizaron, it's time to wake up. We need to leave, there are knights coming."
I heard the word knights and perked right up.
"What?" I asked. "How could they be nearby?"
"The fires last night, remember?" Witerin said.
"I thought that was all just a bad dream." I said.
"You thought what was a bad dream?" Laterniz asked. "My sister and I saving your butts from the fire?"
"Just the fire." I said, smugly.
"Yeah, right." Laterniz said. "Well let's just move on. The knights aren't far away."
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Witerin and I did a little recon earlier." She replied. "We saw a good sized group heading our way and bolted right back here."
"Damn it," I said. "Let's get moving then. Just leave the tents for them. We've got plenty more in a hidden cache."
"Won't it just be easier to get these ones and save the hidden ones for a time of greater need?" Witerin asked.
"They're just around here men!" We heard someone yell.
"No, just leave everything here!" I yelled.
I took off without them.
"You girls had better hurry up, Sizaron and I don't wait up for anyone." Altrins said, taking off after me.
"Oh, we're the ones that are going to need to wait up for you." Laterniz said, bolting after us.
As I turned my head to see the group, I saw Witerin being captured by the knights.
"No!" Laterniz yelled, turning around and flying down to her sister.
"Just go on without me, I'll be okay!" Witerin yelled to her sister. "Find more dragons; you guys are going to need all the power you can get!"
She stopped resisting the knights and allowed them to take her.
"You are a dragon youth and shall be dealt with as a prisoner." They said. "We shall take you to the king for the decision of the time you will spend as our captive."
"No sister, you can stop them, you're more than strong enough!" Laterniz yelled, beginning to cry.
"No, go with the others, our plan will work." Witerin said, turning from her sister and following the knights into the forest.
"No," Laterniz whispered, landing. "No!"
"It's okay." I said, landing beside her. "We'll find and save her."
"No, it's not okay; this is her second time as a prisoner of the knights." Laterniz said. "That group of knights has been following my sister and me ever since we escaped their prison. It was our plan to eliminate the prison at first, but we decided to just escape. I doubt that they're going to let her live after the escape."
"Well that isn't going to happen. We are going to do just what she said; find more dragons, recruit them to our cause, and save your sister." I said.
"You really think we'll be able to save her?" Laterniz asked, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"I know that we'll be able to save her. Now come on, we need to find more dragons." I said.
"You're right; now you're going to need to be really fast to keep up with me; even if my sister has been captured, I don't slow down." Laterniz said.
And so we set out to find more dragons to help rescue Witerin. Even then, I knew it was going to be nigh impossible to do; but I had to do it, even if only to help save a life.
Part five has finally been finished. And for those who don't understand this part, parts one through four were a DREAM. The dragon corps has not been formed yet in this part and will not be formed for a long time. But please, enjoy and/or comment or I will release my army of murderous, break-dancing chickens on your brain.
